LEAD Program

Eligibility:

Full and Part-time Faculty, Staff and Adjuncts
(Limited Part-Time, Contract Coaches, and Student Employees may take advantage of other learning opportunities by contacting ope@davenport.edu)

Registration Deadline:

Complete the Self-Nomination Form listed below (w/manager support) by 5:00pm ET on February 9, 2024.  See the Leadership Pathways Flyer for a comparison of DU's leadership development opportunities.

Curriculum:

Leadership topics that align with DU's STAIR values and TEAM competencies (eLearning, in-person and virtual). See the LEAD Program At-A-Glance guide for more details. 

REQUIRED Commitment to graduate from LEAD:

  • Attend ALL three In-Seat Events**

    • Orientation on March 15, 2024 from 10:00am - 3:00pm, Lettinga Campus
    • Learning Event on September 27, 2024 from 10:00am - 3:00pm, Lettinga Campus
    • Graduation on March 14, 2025 from 10:30am - 3:00pm, Lettinga Campus
  • Complete a series of self-paced online courses 
  • Complete an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) self-assessment and attend a 90 minute coaching session
  • Complete two electives (Choose from in-seat and virtual options)
  • Identify and meet with a professional mentor at least three times

**Please note: In-Seat Events WILL NOT be live-streamed due to length and level of engagement necessary.  Employees who are unable to participate in-person are encouraged to consider the LEAD self-study option.  Mileage reimbursement will be available from your home campus or home for fully remote employees living in Michigan per DU policy.
