Davenport University embarked on its quality journey in the early- and mid-2000s when it increased its academic standards. This direction was reinforced in 2009 with the arrival of President Richard Pappas and the development of Vision 2015, the University's five-year strategic plan. The University is implementing this strategic plan by integrating continuous quality improvement into its culture, language and mindset.

An emphasis has been placed on:

  • aligning existing systems around critical functions
  • using data on those critical functions to drive ongoing assessment and benchmarking 
  • addressing  opportunities for improvement

Our overall process improvement strategy includes chartering process improvement teams, supporting their achievements and celebrating their success.
