Every year, Davenport University begins the academic year by bringing academic faculty and staff together for our annual Wynalda Teaching and Learning Institute (TLI), an internal conference dedicated to supporting faculty in their teaching, scholarship, and professional administrative work.
The 2026 Wynalda Teaching and Learning Institute (TLI) will be held on Wed, August 12 at the W.A. Lettinga Campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Note that many College meetings will occur on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, including meetings for the COHP, COAS/ CoUE, and COT/COB. As in the past, Davenfest will be held on Thursday following TLI.
The Location and Logistics page links to details about the hotel. For 2026, we are again partnering with the Home 2 Suites GR Airport for overnight accommodations for out of town full and part-time faculty. Full-time faculty from other campuses and remote locations are welcome to stay both Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the hotel so that you can attend college meetings, TLI, and Davenfest.
Adjunct faculty are warmly welcomed to participate in the full day of activities; however, due to budget constraints we are unable to fund travel expenses or overnight accommodations for adjunct faculty.
