Accessing and Purchasing Your Course Materials Through Panther BookShelf
These instructions will guide you through the process of acquiring your course materials on the Panther BookShelf. There are two distinct pathways depending on whether your course is Student Purchase or Inclusive Access (IA). Please follow the instructions relevant to your specific course section(s).
Inclusive Access
First day access to digital course materials.
OER - required digital materials provided to students at no additional cost.
Cengage Unlimited and other publishers - required digital materials provided in Blackboard for a course fee.
Student Purchase
For any course where materials need to be purchased, you will be able to purchase materials directly through the Panther BookShelf.
Access Panther BookShelf
Login to Blackboard, select tools, select Panther BookShelf
View Your Registered Courses
Your course materials will be available on your Panther BookShelf to access or purchase.
Add to Cart
To add a product to your cart, start by selecting “View Details” button under that product
Once the Product Details page opens, select the format you want (digital or physical), and then click “Add to Cart.”
Once you’ve added the material, you can click the “X” on the top right-hand side, or click back onto the main home page
Checkout & Payment: Ready to checkout?
You can find your cart on the top right-hand side of your Panther BookShelf home page. Click the cart icon to review what’s in your cart.
If your cart looks good, click the “Checkout” button to finish the checkout process.
If you have already entered your shipping address, it’ll be automatically populated. If you haven’t, you’ll enter it here. Once you’ve reviewed your materials and everything looks good, click “Continue to Payment” to get to the final step in checking out.
At checkout, you will have the option to use your preferred payment method, and/or your Financial Aid voucher balance. Note: Any questions about your book voucher, email bookvouchers@davenport.edu. Once you have selected and filled out your payment information, you’re ready to finalize your purchase, by clicking the “Pay” button.
Receipt of Purchased Materials
After the purchase is complete, your materials will be available on your Panther BookShelf. You can access a receipt of your purchase through the “My Account” section
Once you’re in “My Account”, navigate to the “Orders” tab and you’ll see all of your order information
Financial Aid
Your financial aid balance and expiration date information can also be found in your “Profile” tab within your “My Account”. To access this, you’ll select your profile in the top right-hand corner
Once you’re in “My Account”, navigate to the “Profile” tab and you’ll see your FA information in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen
