Approved Honor Cords and Medallion
In addition to the stoles and hoods distributed by Davenport University Spirit Store, approved cords and medallion are the only adornment allowed worn over a graduate’s gown.
Davenport University honor cords and medallions listed below will be mailed to eligible candidates from the Registrar's Office prior to the ceremony:
Gold Honor Cords – Worn by Associate and Bachelor degree candidates who have earned “With Highest Honor” (cumulative GPA of 3.90 - 4.00).
Red, White and Blue Americana Honor Cords – Worn by Military and Veteran students.
Davenport University Medallion - Worn by Master degree candidates who have earned "With Distinction" (cumulative GPA of 4.0).
Honor society and approved organization cords listed below must be obtained prior to the commencement ceremony. Cords are not distributed at the ceremony. Please contact the faculty advisor or organization for how to obtain cords. Stoles and medallions are not approved.
