Wellness Center
Students looking for free DU counseling services or the ability to see our DU nurse can do so by visiting the Wellness Center on the W.A. Lettinga Campus in-person or by scheduling a virtual appointment.

Life or Medical Challenges
The Center for Campus Life is available to assist students in times of unplanned crisis which impede their academic progress. Examples include an unexpected death in the family, an unforeseen short-term illness, or other life stressors that impact your student success. Submit a Care report to be connected to our team.
Student Care or Concern Incident Reports
For specific concerns regarding a students well-being or general care and concern for a student, please submit a Student Care or Concern report and you'll be connected to the member of our team best suited for the specific support needed.
Student Emergency Funds
The Student Emergency Fund is available to provide a source of funding for currently enrolled Davenport University students who require temporary, immediate financial support (excluding tuition and campus room and board) for emergencies that involve circumstances beyond the student’s control, and for which other resources have been exhausted. The funds are not intended to be used for routine expenses or as a supplement to a student’s education funding sources. Faculty and staff can submit the request for a student to receiving funding here.

Chosen Name and Gender Change Request Information:
- Chosen name and gender requests can be submitted to the Executive Director of the Center for Campus Life, Dr. Joe Bishop, at jbishop16@davenport.edu
- Additionally, name and pronoun changes can be made on Handshake at any time.
Housing Request Information:
Specific housing requests can be made by contacting Housing and Residence Life at housing@davenport.edu
W.A. Lettinga Gender Neutral Bathroom Information:
Gender neutral bathrooms are available throughout campus. Transgender and non-binary students are welcome to use bathrooms of their choice across campus. Below you will find a list of locations for your reference:
- College of Business, first floor- located in the hallway to the right of the main entrance
- Cook Hall, first floor- located in the main lobby across from the Cook Hall desk
- Meijer Hall, first floor- located in the main lobby of the first floor
- Wellness Center, first floor- located directly inside the Wellness Center
- Sneden Center/DeVos Academic Building - located on the ground floor near the Mail Center
