Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration

Be prepared to pursue your career in Finance.

Davenport offers a range of finance courses to include corporate finance, investment planning, portfolio management, and international and health care finance. Our BBA in Finance prepares you to be an adept financial manager and allows you to effectively and ethically drive financial decision making. In addition, the Davenport University Finance accredited bachelor’s degree program has been designed as a partnership with the business community to provide a relevant, rigorous curriculum. As a Davenport Finance major, you begin your business courses during your first term, to start building practical knowledge right away. You’ll develop a broad base of knowledge in budgeting, data analysis, investments, international business and internal controls.

Financial Planning Specialty

Our Bachelor of Finance degree also offers a specialty focus in Financial Planning. This concentration will be of interest to you if you want to become a financial advisor to individuals or businesses.

Davenport’s financial planning specialty is a registered program with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP)®. This means that when you complete the specialty courses with your major, you have guaranteed eligibility to sit for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP)® exam, without the lengthy application process that non-registered program students must submit. By passing this exam you certify that you are qualified to practice independently as a financial planner.

A BBA in Finance can be completed in-seat or online.
