DEI Council

Quick Links

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council is an inter-campus, cross-functional group of faculty, staff and students who serve as an advisory and working group for coordination of the University's DEI efforts. Guided by the University's Vision and the DEI Strategic Plan, the Council helps provide focus to DEI initiatives for improving organizational performance, enhancing DEI leadership and knowledge, and achieving inclusive excellence at DU. The Council meets monthly and is co-chaired by the executive director of diversity, equity and inclusion and by an identified faculty member.

Membership appointments are typically for three years. Council members may be reappointed by the Leadership Team, for additional terms upon the expiration of the initial appointment. The aim is to select from a diversified group of candidates from faculty, staff and students, ensuring an adequate representation from the university.
