Director of Housing and Residence Life

This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership and overall direction for Housing and Residence Life through management of residence facilities, programs and processes to intentionally create safe, comfortable and educationally purposeful environments focused on student learning and development.

Jeanne Lady is the Director of Housing and Residence Life. Jeanne received her B.S in Education with an emphaiss in Child and Family Community Service from Bowling Green State University. Jeanne acquired her M.A in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.

Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life

The Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life oversees many aspects of Housing and Residence Life including occupancy management, room access, housing card support, billing, communication, and serves as a resource for student questions and concerns. The Assistant Director coordinates and participates in departmental initiatives including but not limited to, recruitment and training, programming, housing operations, and conduct.

Danielle Pipal

Danielle Pipal is the Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life. Danielle received her B.S in Exercise Science from Olivet Nazarene University and acquired her M.S in Organizational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University.

Residence Life Coordinators

The Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) are full-time professionals who live in South and Cook Hall. RLCs manage the day-to-day operations of the residential community. This position includes supervision, student development, and housing functions in an effort to provide a residential environment reflective of the University’s values. RLCs coordinate and participate in departmental initiatives including, but not limited to: Resident Assistant recruitment and training, programming, housing operations, and conduct. RLCs also participate in an on-call duty rotation for after-hour crisis response on campus and assist with other departmental committees and initiatives as assigned.

 

Kelly Patmore is the Residence Life Coordinator for South Hall. He received his B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Olivet College and his M.Ed in Higher Education with an emphasis in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University.

Courtenay Tafel/Heminger is the Residence Life Coordinator for Cook and Meijer Halls and the Panther Ridge Apartments. She received her B.A in Marketing from Davenport University.

Alex Miller is the Residence Life Coordinator for the Panther Woods Apartments. They received their B.A in Sociology with a minor in Gender Studies from Saginaw Valley State University. Alex is currently pursuing their M.A in Public Administration from Saginaw Valley State University.
