Returning Student Housing Assignment Information

Housing Options

Returning students have the opportunity to live in Cook and Meijer Halls, as well as the Panther Woods and Panther Ridge apartments. Cook and Meijer Halls are apartment style halls with double and quad options, located within walking distance of the Academic Building and Student Activity Center and the Maine College of Business. Students desiring a more neighborhood-like apartment experience might enjoy Panther Woods or Panther Ridge apartments. Panther Woods is located a mile offsite next to the Farmer's Athletic Complex, while Panther Ridge is located within walking distance to our main Lettinga Campus.

2018 - 2019 Room Selection

Returning students who would like to apply to housing for the 2018 - 2019 school year have the opportunity to participate in Room Selection. Room Selection is the first day returning students can reserve their rooms and roommates for the 2018 - 2019 academic year. Returning students are welcome to reserve their housing at any time after Room Selection, but residents who apply during Room Selection have their first choice. Please review the following important information:

  • Room selection begins March 25th, 2018. The time particular students can reserve their rooms depends on how many semesters they've been in Housing. 
  • Students need to apply to Housing before selecting a room.
  • Students need to be registered for classes for the Fall 2018 semester before selecting a room.
  • Students need to be in good financial standing with the University before they can apply for a room.
  • Students can reserve a space for a roommate if their roommate's selection time is after theirs. When the roommate's selection time occurs, he or she can choose to approve the request. 
  • The Housing Contract is a full academic year agreement for both Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 semesters. 
  • Housing assignment information is sent to your Davenport e-mail throughout the summer.
  • While we do our best to honor the selections made during the room selection process, we sometimes must make changes to room assignments based on the needs of our community. If changes must be made, you will be contacted. 

Special Accommodations

All students requesting a specific housing assignment or meal plan due to a medical condition or other accommodation needs must register with Davenport University's Student Access Coordinator . Housing accommodations will be coordinated based on the Student Access Coordinator's recommendations, date of application, and space availability.
