Dr. Leto has been with Davenport University since 2014 when she accepted the position of associate professor in the inaugural Master of Occupational Therapy program. She has provided occupational therapy services in a wide variety of clinical experiences including adult psychiatry, acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient pediatrics, orthopedics, and long term care environments.

Dr. Leto began her career in academia in 1998 as full time faculty in an occupational therapy assistant program. Her current courses include instruction in the fundamentals and scope of occupational therapy practice, research and scholarship in occupational therapy, occupational therapy in behavioral and mental health, access to care and emerging areas of occupational therapy practice including program development and program assessment. Dr. Leto values experiential learning and coordinates academic service learning and interdisciplinary educational experiences.

Dr. Leto has published in professional journals and presented at local, state, and national conferences. Her current research investigates the impact of an occupation based program on reducing food insecurity.
