Instructor Kreinbrink’s philosophy of teaching is based on the fundamental principle that students are at the center of everything that she does, and are equally involved in the learning process. In addition to ensuring that students learn and retain the fundamental concepts and learning objectives of the courses that she teaches, her goal is to also facilitate the students acquisition of lifelong learning skills, enhance their development of problem solving skills, and prepare them to be high functioning as health information practitioners in the industry. The students that she serves today will be the professionals of tomorrow that help to shape the future of the Health Information industry.

Ensuring that today’s students are offered a learning experience that will equip them with the knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in the industry is a task that instructor Kreinbrink is proud to have. To ensure that she is always striving to reach her personal teaching goal, she practices continual reflection of the following two questions: “What impact is my teaching making on the students and their learning?” and “How are my students going to impact the industry upon graduation?”
