With an expertise in both accounting and finance, Micki Pitcher serves as the Associate Department Chair for the Donald W. Maine College of Business. In this role she is involved in the development and implementation of curriculum courses within accounting and finance. Her responsible locations include the campuses of Lettinga, downtown Grand Rapids, and Lansing.

Professor Pitcher started her career as an accountant for a small hospital in Michigan. She progressed in her career moving from a senior accountant to an accounting manager. Her career expertise gave her depth into teaching in higher education. Her higher educational teachings brought her to Olivet College, University of Phoenix, and Davenport University. She is qualified in numerous accounting and financial courses. Along with current responsibilities as an associate department chair, she also volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) as a site coordinator.

Professor Pitcher holds undergraduate degrees in both accounting and finance and a graduate degree in finance. She teaches accounting courses and finance courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
