With an extensive background in nursing and nursing education, Julie Polanic serves as a member of the nursing faculty in the College of Health Professions. In this roll, she teaches Pediatrics in the classroom along with Obstetrics in the clinical and lab/simulation settings.
Julie has been a registered nurse for 38 years and has a wide variety of experience including, Medical-Surgical nursing, Outpatient Surgery, Obstetrics and Pediatrics. For the past 26 years she has taught in many areas of post-secondary education including Medical Assisting, Licensed Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing. Julie currently continues to work in Childbirth Education programs.
Julie is also a Certified Nurse Leader (CNL) through the Commission on Nursing Certification, and is co-authoring a simulation chapter on safe patient transfers by occupational therapy and nursing students.
