Dr. Jean Gordon received her doctorate, a DBA, in 1999 from Nova Southeastern University. With expertise in both computer nursing and business, Dr. Jean Gordon serves as the Associate Chair for the School of Nursing. In this role she is engaged in academic program development and project management. She also serves as the Associate Department Chair for our fast growing Online FNP in Masters of Nursing program.

Dr. Gordon began her healthcare career practice in the areas of ICU, SICU and CCU specialties. She transitioned to the business arena in 1982 where she grew with a multi-national logistics firm as Vice President of Operations. In 1997 she transitioned back to healthcare on the business side conducting medical and financial audits for a health care system. This later developed into an entrepreneurial business opportunity where she assisted health care systems to prepare for RAC audits conducted by Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). She has held various academic roles as faculty and administrator within healthcare and business disciplines at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr. Gordon, earned her Bachelor of Sconce in Nursing from the University of Miami in 1974, returning to advance her education as an adult she earned her Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University in 1997 and completed her Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern in 1999. She has earned specializations at the Doctorate level in Human Resource Management, Marketing and Research Methods and in early 2010 completed a Masters of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University and a Masters of Business Administration in 2015 with a specialization in Accounting. She has worked extensively in upper management in Marketing, Accounting and Human Resource Management in both the healthcare and Business domestic and global environments. She is published extensively in the areas of Human Resource Management, Talent Strategy for Retention and Knowledge Management and is active in local and national professional associations of SHRM, ASTD, WHEN, AOM, and AHIMA.
